Bobby Gene Crowson

Bobby Gene Crowson, 80, of Topeka, Kan., born April 28, 1943 in Sulphur Springs, was called home peacefully to our Lord on Nov. 9, 2023, surrounded by his loving family after a lengthy battle with cancer.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Geneva Crowson, infant son David Crowson, and infant grandson, Aidan Crowson.

Bobby is survived by his wife Mary, son Brian of Topeka, son Kevin Crowson (Shelley) of Topeka, daughter Lindsey Stoner (Jeff) of Lenexa, Kan., son Bradley Crowson (Marissa) of Albuquerque, N.M. and grandchildren Colin and Aubrey Crowson of Topeka, Cristina and Nicolas Crowson of Albuquerque. 

He is also survived by three brothers, Sammy Crowson (Carolyn), Danny Crowson (Margie) all of Lubbock, Donny Crowson of Brownfield, and a sister Linda Crowson Thomas (Richard) of Hot Springs, Ariz.

Bobby grew up in Wilson. Sante Fe Railroad would take Bobby to work in Topeka and later in life he was owner operator of C&A Trucking Company. 

As the children grew, Bobby truly enjoyed coaching boy’s baseball and basketball for many years. Spending time with his children and grandchildren was the highlight of his life. 

Bobby was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Topeka. 

Among his last wishes, Bobby wanted everyone to have Jesus in their hearts. He will be missed by a multitude of people.

Services for Bobby will be held at Springs Fellowship, 6109 114th St, Lubbock, on Saturday, Nov. 25 at 3 p.m., officiated by Rev. Donny Crowson.
