The Slaton Economic Development Corporation approved a mural design for its building and discussed other items Thursday afternoon (Nov. 16) during its monthly meeting.
Executive Barbara Hopper presented several new mural designs by the artist. She said they were allowed to change three items as part of the agreement.
The board voted to use the sky from one design and sunflowers from another to create the mural.
Board members also discussed recommendations for the City Council for board seats that will be expiring Dec. 31.
Hopper said there were several options for the seats, as all three members were retiring at the end of the year.
