The Slaton Economic Development Corporation conducted a public hearing for two businesses as well as an update on items Thursday afternoon (Dec. 21) during its monthly meeting.
The hearings were for Twisted Gypsy’s for a building construction incentive for up to $7,500 and Slaton Animal Hospital for a building construction incentive in the amount of up to $5,000. No one spoke about either business.
Board members approved renting additional office space to Attorney Brad Pettiet in their building.
Board members received a report on the new 2024 SEDCO board members. Executive Director Barbara Hopper said Ryan Buxkemper, Carlos Garcia and Jason Corley were approved by City Commissioners in its last meeting to fill the spots that were being vacated by Shannon Buxkemper, Benny Arguello and Judy Davis.
