Antique Mall to close permanently Saturday

From Staff Reports

A long time business in Slaton is shutting its doors in Slaton.

Town Square Antique Mall, located at 115 W. Lubbock St. in Slaton, will close its doors for the last time Saturday (March 30).

The store opened in July 2002 during the Classic Car Show.

It has been in business for more than 20 years.

Clark Self and Debbie Abston started working on the building in March 2002. The assistant  manager was  Becky Ford.

The store had vendors from around the area selling a variety of vintage and antique items.

The store has also taken care of the museum for the past 18 years.

The Slaton Museum is owned by the City, and will still be in the same building.

Plans for the building in the near future is to convert it into the new library after construction is completed on the new Slaton Senior Citizen Center.
