Delma Bloxom
Delma Bloxom, 84, of Slaton, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2024.
Funeral Services were Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Englunds Chapel. Interment followed at Englewood Cemetery. Arrangements were by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.
Delma was born on October 23, 1939, in Chillicothe to Delmer D. and Gertrude Eilleen Tucker. Her family moved to Slaton from Chillicothe when she was in fourth grade, and she graduated from Slaton High School. Delma married Sandy Bloxom at the Nazarene Church on August 23, 1959, and they recently celebrated 65 years of marriage. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Evangelical Methodist Church. Delma, known as Granny, by those around her, including the nurses who took care of her, dearly loved her kids and grandkids. She also loved her gummy bears and red cardinal birds. She enjoyed gardening, especially her flowers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Dee and Clarence Tucker; and her sister, Dora Burleson.
Delma is survived by her husband, Sandy; her daughters, Cindy Smith and her husband, Roddy, Vicky Polk and her husband, Randall, and Wendy Hill and her husband, Michael; her son, Stacy Bloxom and his wife, Cheryl; her sister, Jane Rackler and her husband, James; thirteen grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
The family suggest memorials be made to a favorite charity.
