CTE’s Creager honored as United, Mrs. Baird’s Teacher on the Rise

Keith Creager, a teacher at Cathelene Thomas Elementary, was named the United Supermarkets and Mrs. Baird’s Teachers on the Rise for December.

He was honored Thursday morning (Jan. 30) at the school.

Each month throughout the school year, United and Mrs. Baird’s selects a winning teacher from elementary, middle and high schools.

A total of 15 students wrote nomination letters for Creager, with one being selected to be read.

Avery Vasquez was the honoree, and had his letter read to Creager.

“I nominate Mr. Creager beacues he pushes every day to do our best in math. he always includes us in a question even if we don’t raise our hand,” he said. “For UIL he pushes my Chess team so we can place and win. 

“When he teaches in math or chess, I feel that every word he says is for me.”
