William (Bill) Edwin Miller

William (Bill) Edwin Miller passed away April 7, 2025 in Lubbock.
He was born June 23, 1938 to Raymond Henry and Clara Elizabeth (Angerer) Miller in Slaton.
Bill attended both St. Joseph’s and Slaton High School before volunteering for the United States Army.
He served one tour of duty in Germany.
He married Dorothy Jasper in 1964 and to this union, they have two children, Jim and Craig.
Bill had a second marriage with Bennye Clifton in 1982, remaining married until his death.
Bill proudly worked as a groundskeeper at Texas Tech University for more than 30 years.
Upon retiring from Texas Tech University, Bill gave his time to the Salvation Army, ringing bells at Christmastime, helping others in need during times of disaster and attending church at the Salvation Army Church in Lubbock.
He was a Christian at heart and enjoyed cooking.
Bill was preceded in death by his father and mother, Raymond and Clara, Freddy Miller (Vietnam 1968), Pauline (Missouri 2014), Jerry (Abilene 2023) and Bobby (Lubbock 2023).
Those remaining to cherish his memory and carry on his legacy are his wife Bennye Miller of Lubbock, their two sons Jim Miller of Denver, Colo., and Craig Miller of San Antonio, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, his siblings, Mary Roye of Slaton, Richard MIller of Lubbock and Glen Miller of Slaton.
