The Slaton Economic Development Corporation approved funding for a media push for Slaton and received updates on several projects Thursday afternoon (May 22) during its regular meeting.
The Board approved funding of $750 for a media campaign. Executive Director Lezlee Harlan said the group, No MissCommunications, wanted to push statewide releases and a TV/media campaign for the Texas Banana Pudding Festival. She said this was because the company felt it was understated and not reaching a wide enough scope.
Harlan added they had reached out to Texas Highways to see if it was possible to get it in the media in its next edition.
Boardmembers also approved building maintenance for the property located at 118 W. Garza St.
