Slaton Knights of Columbus celebrates 100th anniversary

The Slaton Knights of Columbus No. 2571 more than 100 years of service to the Community Saturday evening (July 19) with a dinner and dance at the St. Joseph Parish Hall.

The event featured dinner, dancing and music by the Rex Thomas Band.

Remarks were made by Joseph Hybner, the current Grand Knight of the Slaton Knights of Columbus.

The Council was chartered May 24, 1925. 

There have been 51 Grand Knights as well, with 21 still alive as of press time (July 22).
