Brenda Elaine McCall George
April 15, 1939-Sept. 1, 2025
Brenda Elaine McCall George, 86, passed away peacefully after a hard fought year of surviving a stroke, receiving a pacemaker, overcoming a broken hip, and pressing strongly against congestive heart failure on Sept. 1, 2025, in Eagar, Ariz.
She was born April 15, 1939 in Littlefield, to E.N. (Shorty) and Louise McCall.
She was second born, with an older brother Marlin McCall (deceased), and a younger sister Dolores McCall Mosser (living).
Being raised in Enochs she had many stories about living on a farm.
Brenda was the beloved wife to Robert George for 68 years. A true testament of a faithful marriage.
They resided in Texas the majority of their lives, from Enochs to Lubbock to Slaton. Brenda was a full-time house wife before graduating from Texas Tech University with a degree in Elementary Education and a specialization in Art.
She was employed with Slaton Independent School District for 30 years, serving as a Kindergarten teacher for 25 years and First Grade Math Lab for five years.
She retired in 2011, but never stopped loving and teaching many more generations of children until her last breath.
She was the epitome of sharing her wealth of knowledge and her faith.
In 2017, they moved to Eagar to be near their daughter Lea Marthan George Walker and grandchildren, after the passing of their son Michael Brent George. Brenda’s legacy continues to flow through her daughter Lea (living) and four grandchildren Candace Walker Luna, Trinity Walker, Taysha Walker Waite, and Trey Walker.
They have blessed her with 13 great-grandchildren including one on the way, and three great-great grandchildren with one on the way.
She loved to entertain them with art projects, learning/playing card games or dominos, as well as building them an enormous kids jungle gym in her back yard. Brenda introduced herself as Nonna (her chosen grandma name) to everyone her grandchildren introduced her to.
She is Nonna to many.
She was honored to be a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Lubbock as she was devoted to her faith in Jesus. Professing her faith and being baptized in her early teens.
She enjoyed being a part of the worship team as a pianist in her earlier years.
Brenda loved being a member of the Pillow Ministry, and SPICE with Calvary Baptist Church.
Upon moving to Arizona they attended Jesus First, and made many friends.
Brenda and Robert loved sharing their cabin in the Capitan Mountains of New Mexico with family.
Leading the way on big adventures to the huge swing, riding motor bikes, swimming in the river, playing games, and observing the hummingbirds.
When they moved to Arizona they recreated that space at their Roosevelt lakehouse. She always loved intentional time, shared meals, and a sweet dessert.
She requested to hold off on funeral services. She would like a graveside service for her and Robert together in Enochs, at the time of Robert’s passing.
