RISD’s Murphy named Mrs. Baird’s September Teacher on the Rise

Roosevelt Independent School District’s fourth grade teacher, Angela Murphy was chosen as the Mrs. Baird’s Teachers on the Rise winner for September.

Murphy was nominated for the award by her former student, Jozy Jones.

Jones received a $50 dollar Visa gift card for nominating her. 

Murphy received a $100 gift certificate to United Supermarkets, a meal for two at the Texas Tech Club, a goodie box from Mrs. Baird’s and local vendors, and an invitation to an end of year celebration and banquet at the Texas Tech Club. This banquet there will be other prizes including a $1,000 cash prize.

Nominations are taken year round, and winners are honored every month.
