2 Bands qualify for Area Contest

The Slaton High School Mighty Tiger Band and Roosevelt High School Band have something to play big and bold.

SHS and RHS are heading to Area Marching.

Both schools received all Div. I’s for their performances Saturday (Oct. 18) during UIL High School Marching Contest at Lowery Field.

Both bands will compete at the 3A Area Competition Nov. 1, again at Lowrey Field.

If weather is inclement, they will have the event Nov. 2 at Lowrey. Information is as of press time Tuesday (Oct. 21) and times will be reported when given.
