City to search for new Municipal Judge

The City of Slaton Commissioners approved the resignation of Judge Danielle Novier and authorized the search for a new judge for Slaton Municipal Court Monday (Oct. 20) during its regular meeting at City Hall.

Novier had taken over for Judge Tory J (TJ) McAuley after he died in November 2024.

It also approved allowing Mayor Clif Shaw to search for the new judge.

Commissioners approved a resolution authorizing the increase to the employee retirement contribution rate, adopting accruing updated and transferring said service credits. 

This is the second reading of the ordinance.
