CTE qualifies for Globals in Destination Imagination

Cathelene Thomas Elementary’s Destination Imagination Pinballer team is setting more records.

First they advanced to the State contest, which was conducted in Arlington last week.

Now, they are going to Globals. 

CTE’s team, comprised of  Dylan Brosch, Donovan Cerna, Kate Hargrave, Brynlee Martinez, Dax Mjolhus and Dean Newton, 

placed sixth in their event.

DI Coach Christi Tomme said the event was a special moment for all of them.

“Since this was the first time that a team from Slaton ISD advanced to State, it was a new experience for all of us,” she said. “The State meet was held in Arlington at University of Texas – Arlington. The kids loved the campus as it was a perfect place to hold all of the activities.”
