United gets self checkout

United Supermarkets in Slaton, Tx puts in the first self checkout registers on Sunday night (June 2), training Tuesday (June 4), and fully operating Wednesday (June 5). The hours for self checkout are 8a.m.-8p.m. seven days a week. “These are completely optional for guest. We will still have our friendly checkers a few registers down,” said, Service Manager Clestina Aguirre.
