SEDCO MEETING

    The SEDCO meeting on June 20, 2024, saw efficient progress in economic initiatives for Slaton. This meeting opened at 12:02 p.m. 

    Barbara Hopper led with an invocation, followed by approval of previous meeting minutes and financial statements.

     Key decisions included approving the Heirloom Flowers & Goods building construction project in the amount of $10,000.00 and approving Resolution #062024, a land purchase project in the amount of $60,000.00 to Double F Manufacturing, LLC for the down payment on undeveloped land they are purchasing to build on. The Director reported The Retail Coach is making positive strides in retail recruitment efforts, engaging multiple potential businesses. The Director also reported the opening of Slaton Ready Mix cement plant.

     The meeting adjourned at 12:37 p.m., marking a focused session on advancing economic growth and community development in Slaton.
