Savoring Tradition and Taste:The Pancake House in Lubbock, Texas

Nestled on 510 Ave Q in Lubbock, Texas, the Pancake House isn’t just a place to eat; it’s a beloved institution that has been serving up warmth and hospitality since 1961.         Recently joining forces with the Slaton Newspaper to offer exclusive deals to its patrons, the Pancake House continues to delight both locals and travelers alike with its irresistible charm and delicious offerings.

Owned and cherished by three generations, the Pancake House started under the stewardship of JB Hance and has since passed through the hands of Daymon Stotts to its current owner, Jeff Stotts. Jeff took over in 2019, just before the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic hit. With steadfast support from loyal customers, the Pancake House not only weathered the storm but emerged stronger, proving its resilience and dedication to the community.

In 2023, the Pancake House proudly received the Nutella Best Pancake Award.

Beyond Lubbock, the Pancake House has forged a special bond with the nearby town of Slaton, thanks in part to the creative efforts of Julia Scott, an esteemed art teacher. Julia encouraged her students to design menus, and the best designs were selected to adorn the walls of the Pancake House. Each winning student received a gift certificate, fostering a connection between the Pancake House and the vibrant community of Slaton.

At the Pancake House, hospitality reigns supreme. Their motto, “Come in as a customer, leave as a friend,” shows their approach to dining. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a regular, the warm welcome and exceptional service ensure that every visit is a good experience.
