Slaton Library hosts Wildfire Prevention with Smoky Bear

    On Friday (July 26), the Slaton Library held a story time with the Texas A&M Forest Service and Smoky Bear at Slaton’s City Hall.

   The representatives from the Forest Service read a story about the origin of Smoky Bear before introducing the figure to the room of kids gathered for the story time. The representatives explained what kind of clothing and equipment they use while they are working.
