Slaton Athletic Booster Club Meeting

The Slaton Athletic Booster Club met Wednesday September 25, 2024 to discuss merchandise sales, upcoming events, and team support. Shirts for Tiger athletes, covering all sports, have been ordered, and sales will start once they arrive. Bucket hats will also be available.

The club discussed membership fees, with decisions postponed until the next meeting. Last Friday’s football program sold out, and the basketball program purchased $2,600 in travel gear, with a vote tabled for a future meeting. They also bought six “D-Man” mannequins for $90 each and requested financial help.

A major basketball tournament is set for November 14-16, and the Booster Club is planning concession stand support and meals. Volunteers can sign up before the first scrimmage.

Other topics included ordering flags for the last two football games, “Midnight Madness” on October 16 to start basketball practice, and the district cross-country meet on October 8. The club is also ordering 658 hats for the athletes.
