Slaton Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Agency do not want you to be a dealer.
The two agencies are hosting a prescription drug drop-off from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday at Hearts Together Church of Christ at 340 W. Division Street.
The event will be a drive-through drop-off and syringes and other sharps will not be accepted.
According to the DEA, medicines that sit in home medicine cabinets are susceptible to diversion, misuse and abuse. Rates of prescription drug use have multiplied in recent years, as have overdoses and poisonings.
