Area groups to host community Easter egg hunts, activities

First Baptist Church

First Baptist Church will host a Community Easter Egg Hunt Saturday from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Slaton County Park on Garza Street.

There will be bounce houses and hot dogs. The event is weather permitting, and check Facebook for updates at FirstBaptistChurch/Slaton.

Wilson Community

Easter egg hunt

St. John Lutheran Church invites all Wilson area residents to the Wilson City Park on April 20 at noon for a Community Easter Egg Hunt and Hot Dog Cookout.

The event will begin with a special performance by P.B. ‘n’ J., the puppet team from St. John. 

The egg hunt will begin shortly after that for children who are walking through age 12. Hot dogs, drinks and sweets will be available for everyone following the egg hunt. 

Those attending are invited to bring lawn chairs to enjoy the festivities.

Slaton Care Center

Slaton Care Center will host an Easter Egg Hunt Saturday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the center, 630 S. 19th St.

There will be a cookout with hamburgers and hot dogs, popcorn, and pictures with the Easter Bunny along with the egg hunt.

The event is free, but the center is accepting donations. Moneys raised will go toward resident activities.
