SRTA 1st meeting of year to be Wednesday

The Slaton Retired Teachers Association will hold their first 2023-24 monthly meeting on Wednesday (Sept. 20) 3 p.m. at Slaton Independent School District board room.

Guest speaker, Terri Navrkal, is Texas Retired Teacher Association secretary/treasurer and will provide an update regarding Proposition 9 on the Nov. 7 ballot.

This amendment will provide a Cost of Living Adjustment for Texas retired teachers and all school personnel.

The meeting is free of charge and refreshments will be offered.
