Slaton uncomparable in March sales tax rebates

The City of Slaton could not compare its tax rebates in March, at it could not be compared to last year’s after a rebate was given in 2023. 

Slaton received $56,944.08 in March, uncomparable from March 2023’s $0.00 received. 

Year-to-date, Slaton has received rebates totaling $233,740.01, a 58.75 percent increase from the 2023 year-to-date total of $140,935.85.

Ransom Canyon and Wilson saw increases over the past year.

Post and Buffalo Springs saw decreases.
