Section of Woodrow Road reopened after repairs made

Woodrow Road between 20th St. and Hwy. 84 Business has reopened for use.
The road reopened Wednesday afternoon (April 10), with only some minor work left to the curbing and gutters.
It was dedicated in a ceremony Friday afternoon (April 12).
Mayor Clif Shaw gave comments about the importance of the road’s completion.
“This is a day of great significance for the City of Slaton, a day that marks not only the completion of a much needed infrastructure project, but also a testament to the power of collaboration and community spirit,” he said.
“As many of you may recall, our road was in dire need of repair. Its deteriorating condition posed not only an inconvenience, but also a safety hazard.”
He then thanked Commissioner Jason Corley for the assistance the County gave to help complete the project.
“Mr. Corley and his colleagues championed our cause securing $2 million in funding,” said Shaw.
