KCBD NEWS COVERAGE

KCBD News Channel 11 visited Slaton on Friday (July 12) for their Live Community Coverage Tour of 2024, and the community gathered to watch the live broadcast. 

    They did their live at 5 p.m. and live at 6 p.m. newscasts with their anchors Abner Euresti and Karin McCay set up in front of Slaton’s City Hall. They were joined by John Robinson for the weather and Pete Christy for the sports.    

   Both live broadcasts featured stories about the Slaton community, including the Slaton Harvey House, the Slaton Model Railroad Studio, and the upcoming fall athletic teams for the Tigers and Tigerettes. After the broadcasts, KCBD representatives hosted a meal for the community, along with activities which included corn hole and The Slaton Athletic Booster  sold Slaton athletic team shirts..
