SISD New Board Member

Slaton ISD’s Board of Trustees held a regular meeting on Monday (July 15), which began at 7:00 p.m. in the Slaton ISD Administration Office. All members were present, and no public comment was made.

   The board discussed the TASA/TASB txEDCON 24 conference that will be held in San Antonio, the various important dates for employees, open house, and the first day of school, and the next regular board meeting, which will be held on August 13th. During the Facilities Report, it was noted that new security windows were installed at the elementary and high school, as well as the fire code, custodial issues, a hall pipe, and the floors and carpet within the district’s buildings. 

   After that, the board swore in a new member, Gabriel Johnson. Then they approved the minutes for both the special meeting and the regular school board meeting that was held in June. The meeting was adjourned at 7:24 p.m.
