The Combine: A New Dining Experience for Slaton

  By: Jenna Howle

Slaton’s town square is about to welcome a new gem—The Combine, a wine bar café that aims to bring an upscale yet approachable dining experience to the area. This venture is the realization of a longtime dream for its owner, a food industry veteran who has lived in Slaton for 15 years and always envisioned contributing to the town square’s vibrancy.

The Combine is a collaborative effort with the owner’s brother and his family, who have already enriched Slaton with local businesses like My Small Slaton, Zoigs Lego store, and Reds Vending. The restaurant’s name reflects both its tribute to Slaton’s agricultural roots and its mission to blend casual and gourmet dining.

The menu will feature gourmet flatbreads, crostini-based tapas, charcuterie, salads, and soups, with a focus on fresh, scratch-made dishes and options for keto and gluten-free diets. The aim is to offer a versatile spot for date nights, family dinners, or after-work gatherings in a relaxed yet elegant setting.

The Combine seeks to stand out by offering a unique dining experience in an inviting atmosphere with mood lighting and upscale food and beverages. For the owners, contributing to the town’s growth and enjoying local events makes this venture especially meaningful.

As The Combine gets ready to open, it promises to be a cherished addition to Slaton, enhancing the town’s dining scene and community spirit.
