The Slaton Tigers were looking to change the narrative from their early playoff loss last year to Bushland and advance past the first round.

The team fought hard, but came up short and lost 55-6.

The Bushland Falcons were able to take over the first half with five total touchdowns scored.

They had an 11-yard rushing touchdown, a four-yard rushing touchdown, a seven-yard rushing touchdown, a 48-yard punt return touchdown and a seven-yard passing touchdown and the Tigers were down 35-0 at halftime.

The second half kicked off with the Falcons scoring a 21-yard rushing touchdown, followed by a 18-yard passing touchdown.

The Tigers were finally able to get on the board when running back Tomas Geronimo broke off an 80-yard rushing touchdown. Slaton decided to go for two by rushing the ball in, but the attempt was unsuccessful.
