Heather Pinkerton was sworn in by Mayor Pro-Tem Lynn Nowlin Monday evening during City Council’s regular meeting at City Hall. The City of Slaton saw an increase in its sales tax rebate compared to the previous year’s month totals. Slaton received $50,794.23 in March, a 25.37 percent increase from March 2018’s total of $40,514.67. March numbers reflect January sales.
