Tigers to take on Childress tomorrow

After clinching third place last Friday (April 27), The Slaton Tigers had to wait through the weekend to find out their opponent in the bi-district baseball playoffs.

The Tigers (6-4, 13-10) defeated Lubbock Roosevelt 8-7 to clinch third place in District 2-3A and will take on the Childress Bobcats (4-4, 12-16-1), the second-place finisher in District 1-3A at Ralls High School. Game one is slated for 5 p.m. Friday (May 4), with the second game scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday (May 5).

Game three, if necessary, will begin 30 minutes after the conclusion of game two.
