SHS graduate to pitch in all-star game Saturday

Malory Cofield has been selected to the Greater West Texas Softball Coaches Association (GWTSCA) All-Star Game Saturday (June 9) at Lubbock Christian University.

Cofield will be pitching for the East All Star team. As one of just two seniors for the bi-district champion Tigerettes, Cofield pitched 14-1 innings on the season with 109 strike-outs and a 5.76 ERA. She posted 14 wins on the season.

She pitched 561 innings in district with a 3.67 ERA and 47 strikeouts.

“We are so happy for Malory to get to end her high school softball career getting the opportunity to represent Slaton once more in the game,” said head coach Brandon Langston.

First pitch will be at 1 p.m.
