Tigers maul Bulldogs, 39-20, on Homecoming

The Slaton Tigers celebrated Homecoming in style, barreling through the Coahoma Tigers, 39-20, on the new artificial surface at Tigers Stadium for their first homecoming win in six years.

Kevondrick Gober opened the scoring right away, sprinting 74 yards for the first score of the game.

The running game worked all night, with Gober rushing for 254 yards on just 12 carries and Eli Martinez tallying 142 yards on 16 carries.

Gober who caught two passes for 18 yards, put the Tigers ahead 13-0 on a 21-yard touchdown strike from Laz Galindo.
