FFA students earn trip to Area

Slaton Future Farmers of America students have advanced to the area round of the UIL Area I Leadership Development Event this weekend after teams won first place in various categories at the District contest.

Senior Wyatt Harlan, along with sophomores  Rachyl Kitten, Kyle Murphy and Tara Musser claimed first place in ag advocacy to reach the Area LDE, with Harlan and Kitchen earning spots with first and second-place finishes, respectively, in job interview.

Paylon Potts will represent Slaton High School at the LDE in greenhand creed.
