Tigers claim bi-district title in close win over Cubs
The Slaton Tigers know how to put on a show.
Facing a team they crushed in Week 2, the Tigers clawed back to claim a 36-28 win over the Brownfield Cubs for their second consecutive bi-district win.
“That’s why you play the game,” said first-year Slaton Head Coach Jeff Caffey. ”I couldn’t be more proud of our kids. This is my first playoff win as a head coach and I would rather have a close one like that than a blowout. They will remember this one and I will always remember this one.”
