Tigerettes lift up trophy after first-place finish

The Slaton Tigerettes and Tigers kicked off the powerlifting meet schedule in style Saturday in Abernathy, with Tigerettes claiming the team championship.

“It was a good start for our first meet,” said Slaton ISD AD powerlifting coach Jeff Caffey. “We had returners who picked up where they left off and had some first timers medal.”
