Slaton athletes to compete in upcoming All Star games

Three Slaton High School athletes will be participating in upcoming All-Star games.

Kamryn Gibbs has been selected to play in the TGCA All Star game in Arlington on July 9.

This is a huge honor as only 28 Juniors from across the state in 1A-4A are playing in it. There is also a 5A-6A game.

Coach Brandon Langston said he was not positive but pretty sure she is the first player selected to play in this Softball All Star game.

Jet Smith was selected to play in the GWTBCA All Star Game June 15 at Lubbock Cooper High School.

Smith, a senior, was on the baseball team all four years.

Addisyn Sackett was selected to play in the WTXBC All Star game in San Angelo June 23 at 2 p.m.

She was named All District Honorable mention and 3A Academic All State this season.
