Girls 3rd, boys 2nd in Abernathy Meet

The Slaton High School Varsity Girls Cross Country Team finished third and the Boys placed second Saturday (Oct. 5) at the Abernathy Meet.

Individual finishes for the girls were Alice Cogburn, third, 13:14; Mary Jo Parker, fourth, 13:29, Kathryn Castillo, 15th, 14:12; Kristen Chavarin, 27th,  14:46; Kelsea Crow, 32nd, 15:02; Emily Herrera, 48th, 15:41 and Paige Rodriguez, 72nd,  17:25.

Individual finishes for the boys were Ty Kinch, fifth, 17:32; Zach Gonzales, 11th, 18:00; Ishmal Gonzales, 13th, 18:09; Elijah Culver, 34th, 19:40; Christian Perales, 42nd, 20:30; Isaiah Chapa, 51st, 20:59; 59. Ivan Venzor, 59th, 22:09; and Anguel Lopez, 63rd, 22:46.
