Coach Stacy Godfrey said he is proud of the improvements made by the team and feels like they have finally found the right balance and team chemistry to keep themselves in the playoff race.
“We have been playing better team ball,” Godfrey said. “Everyone has found their role on the team. Our shooting percentage has been way up, and I believe that’s been helping us win ball games.”
Godfrey said he also likes the improvements the team has made on defense.
“Defensively we are being able to stop the drive,” Godfrey said.
“In all, we have really bonded over the last six ball games and hopefully that propels us into the playoffs. That has been our goal all season.”
The Tigers returned home for the final game of the regular season against the Shallowater Mustangs Tuesday (Feb. 18) with a shot to still qualify for the playoffs.
Scores from the game will be published in next week’s edition.
